Psychic Protection in Crowds

Cities, shopping malls, amusement parks, sports stadiums.
Do large gatherings of people make you uneasy?
A Year of Making Herbal Medicines at Home, a new book by David Reed Beatty, D.O.
When you are feeling depreciated, angry or drained, it is a sign that other people are not open to your energy.

10 Tips to Avoid Emotional Overload in Urban Areas

Picture
Can a crowd cause you to feel overwhelmed and exhausted? Living in urban areas, visiting shopping malls, or being around large numbers of people can possibly worsen headaches, fatigue, colds or illness, overeating, and even the feeling of psychic attack. Some people are sensitive to crowds and may have strong feelings of empathy towards others.

All people have energy fields that can affect us. The more the people and the closer they are to us, the more our energy fields intersect. If you feel overwhelmed by crowded situations, you may be sensitive to the feelings and thoughts of others. Although you may be sensing, or “picking up” the energy, the situation can be very draining of your own energy. Learning a few basic techniques of psychic protection can help you to avoid energy overload and feel more comfortable in cities and crowded places.

10. Imagine a Clear Plastic Shield
Some people have a natural higher empathy to others around them. You can become so attuned to others that it puts you on energy overload. As you move through crowds or live among groups of people, try visualizing a clear plastic shield between you and others. Imagine it to be invisible, not detectable to others. Allow the clear shield to protect you from negative energy and psychic emanations from others.
9. Imagine a Force Field of Energy
If you are a natural empath, you may be overly sensitive to the energy in others. This can create an energy drain in yourself. Try strengthening the field of energy that surrounds you by creating a sense of a buzz around yourself. Imagine an energy or force that builds inside you and radiates out from your core. Let this force field of energy act as a protector from the buzz of others around you.
8. Create an Energy “Shield”
A psychic shield is an energy force or thought with which you surround yourself for protection. It is called a “shield” because warriors’ shields are symbolic of blocking attacks. Energy that bombards you from crowds or people around you can feel like an attack. Defending yourself, or, even worse, not defending yourself can be an intensive energy drain. Imagining a shield helps you block unwanted input.
7. Visualize a Protective Shield
To create a psychic shield, you can choose forms and create a force that you visualize, in detail. Your protective shield becomes a permanent part of you, something like wearing a second skin. Take some time to decide on the form and details of your shield. You may use your imagination, but here are some basic devices:
  • Colors—White light is often used. Blue is a strong protective color for shields. Really, any color you feel a connection with will work. You might want to avoid black, however.
  • Shapes—Round spheres, cylinders, cubes, pentagons, whatever you enjoy imagining. Ovals surround a body nicely; think egg shape.
  • Textures—Some people choose solids, such as brick walls or steel spheres. Other ideas may be a woven cocoon of energy, a red laser field, or even a bamboo basket weave. Whatever you feel might be protective is what you use.
Note that constructing your shield to be semi-permeable gives protection but leaves you open to receiving positive energies, as well.
6. Say a Prayer or Positive Affirmation
It often helps when you face trying situations to say a prayer or recite a positive affirmation. Either of these can help strengthen any psychic protections you have put into place. Some examples:
  • I am totally protected from unwanted energies.
  • Only positive thoughts are allowed around me.
  • I can change all negative energy to positive energy.
  • My thoughts are my own and others are unwelcome.
Prayers and affirmations help you feel a connection that provides peace and comfort as well as protection.
5. Call On Ancient Traditions
There are many old traditions that people call on for protection. You may be able to modify and layer on these kinds of protections.
  • Wearing or carrying amulets, talismans, or lucky charms.
  • Wearing or carrying crystals or gemstones.
  • Crossing your fingers; rubbing your thumb and forefinger together.
  • Crossing your hands over your solar plexus (center chest).
From ancient times, throughout history, there is evidence that these traditions were called on for protection. Find ways to modify and use these in our crowded city conditions.
4. Strengthen Your Aura
Your aura is your body’s natural energy field. When you approach crowded areas or feel overwhelmed by others, stop, slow down, and breathe. Take several slow deep breaths. Hold each breath for a few seconds before exhaling slowly. This can help expand and strengthen your aura and boost your natural psychic protection. Also, cultivate feelings of joy and love to help maintain a strong aura and high vibrational field.
3. Meditate Every Day
Seek peace and calmness by using meditation and breathing exercises. This strengthens your core and builds resistance to negative energies. It is almost always healthy. Meditation strengthens your natural psychic energy levels. Learn how to do walking meditation in Basic Techniques for Meditation
2. Create a Protected Space
Set up an area at home that feels comfortable, safe, and protected. Burn incense, herbs, or sage to reduce negative energies. An aromatherapy system could be helpful, as well. Let your space be beautiful with artwork and/or flowers. It should be a place of quiet and peace. Create a space where you feel joy and where you sense a feeling of strength. Use one or more of the shield techniques to enclose and protect your space.
1. Visualize White Light
This is probably the most important psychic protection to learn how to do. The goal is to visualize yourself surrounded by pure white light. Choose one of these visualizations:
  • Imagine a white glow billowing up from the ground to surround you.
  • Imaging a pure white light that descends downwards from heaven.
  • Imagine standing under a light bulb that turns on to create a bright white light.
  • Imaging a rain shower falling down then picture each drop turning into a white light.
Follow these steps to create a visualization or psychic protection
1.    Stand or sit and breathe quietly, but deliberately, for a few moments.
2.    Begin to visualize a bright white light surrounding you.
3.    Let it become thicker and brighter.
4.    Be sure to have the light pulsing through your body as well as glowing around you.
5.    Try to create the feeling of being one with the light.
Light energy is associated to the idea of a higher power or divinity. As you surround yourself in white light, you are symbolically saying that you are protected by a higher power.

Strong empathy—how can you tell if this trait is yours? Ask yourself these questions:
  • Do you find yourself uncomfortable in crowds?
  • Do you go out of your way to avoid crowded situations?
  • Do you sometimes feel over stimulated around groups and prefer being alone?
  • When you know someone is in pain, do you feel it as well?
You may be an intuitive empath. Understanding this quality can help explain your emotional reactions to the world. Dealing with your psychic energy needs can help you create balance in body, mind, and spirit. Psychic protections can help you to feel more comfortable around others, less overwhelmed in crowds, and more in tune with a healthy, vibrant life.

My husband is allergic to wasp stings, and perhaps other bee stings, so when it comes to a "bee problem" I have to take care of it. Somewhere along the way, I lost my fear of bees. I have been stung many, many times. I like to garden, and have found honey bees to be very patient, they bump me in the chest if I am too close, and I move away from their chosen flower.
This summer, when getting pestered by the more aggressive bees, I just started holding my hand out like a traffic cop, and saying NO. I don't even have to say it out loud anymore...
And they would fly off, and be gone. Last week, I had a really angry yellow jacket buzzing circles madly around my head. He was too fast, and close, to do the palm thing.
I stopped walking, closed my eyes, lifted both arms over my head, then swung them out and down to my sides. I opened my eyes, and there was a white bubble surrounding me. I was in the center of a sphere about an arms length away from me. It looked like a mesh, with tiny pulsing lights. It seemed to be about an inch thick... but I could see through it. It was there for about 2-3 seconds. I stood there gaping at it, and then it was gone as suddenly as it appeared. And so was the bee.
I know my husband saw me from behind, and joked about the bee bugging me...but he had no idea what happened. Heck, I don't know what happened! I didn't plan that.
What the Hey was that all about? I have thought about it for days...that is why I read this article today.
Can anyone explain What this is all about, because I can't!
