Love is a powerful emotion or feeling. Most people agree—we want love. Love seems to be a necessary part of human life. Yet falling in love is more like an altered state of consciousness. The whole world seems different and alive when you are in love. You can harness those feelings and let love transform your life in many ways. We know that love can inspire a person to do great things. Here’s how to let love be a transformative part of your life.


10. Think About Love
Let your thoughts return to love throughout the course of the day. Try to get the feeling of love to rise up in you by thought alone. 
9. Talk About Love
Love is often a topic that people feel uncomfortable talking about. But just the act of telling others about our loved ones can give us a boost. Plus any conversation that brings love to the forefront of your consciousness is worthwhile.
8. Listen With Love
Think of two lovers who gaze into each others eyes and hang on each others every word. Strong romantic love feelings seem to make people listen better. See if you can make a conscious effort to listen with love in any conversation.
7. Seek Out Love
Love is important in everyone’s life. Romantic love is beautiful. Family love is powerful. And the love through friendship is deeply moving and supportive.
6. Encourage Love
Don’t sit around waiting for love to come to you. Make openings in your life for love to fall into. Encourage others to look for love openly.
5. Express Love
Say, “I love you,” to your loved ones, every day. Don’t wait. Do it now.
4. Communicate Love
Love letters, cards, phone calls, and texts are all great ways to spontaneously tell someone that you love them. Make it a habit and get little boosts of energy all day long.
3. Touch With Love
A pat on the shoulder can be as powerful as a hug. A gentle touch to the arm, a pat on the head, or even a quick backrub can communicate love and show support and comfort.
2. Practice Love
Again, don’t wait. Love is best when it’s in action. Think of ways that you can bring more acts of love into your life. The more you show your love and the more you find ways to express it, the stronger and better your love network will be.
1. Act With Love
Everything you do over the course of the day, from greeting coworkers in the morning to shopping at the grocery in the evening will go better when you allow love feelings to go with you. When you feel especially put upon or annoyed, that is a good time to center on love and turn your actions to loving kindness.

Love is simple—live all your life with love. Why? Because love and spirit are actually the same thing. Allow love to be part of everything you do, a part of every person you meet, a part of every way you think. You don’t need to buy anything. You don’t need a new outfit or special equipment.
